In May, Adam and I surprised the kids with a trip to Legoland. We'd been planning it for months, and we were so excited to finally take them. All four kids were extremely surprised and over the moon elated to be vacationing at the coolest place on the planet. At least to a 7, 5, and 2, and one year old. We also had a lot of fun staying with the Henn family and playing on the beach. If there is one thing I know for sure, my kids all love the beach.
Adam went to Astrocamp in May as usual. He was gone for mother's day, as usual, so my girls took great pains to make sure I was well taken care of. They were so sweet.
One of the best parts of May was Grandma and Grandpa coming for a visit. We went camping, played at the water park, watched movies, played toys, and had lots of delicious food.
Hannah lost a tooth at the beginning of May and is looking more and more grown up as the days go on. She's preparing for her baptism and we talk about it often. She took some beautiful baptism pictures at the temple, and it made me tear up to see this beautiful, grown up girl preparing to be baptized.
Hannah also got to go on a field trip and take me along! We went fishing at the state park about 45 minutes north. It was beautiful, and it's so fun to watch Hannah in her element, hanging out with her friends.
Hannah was extremely proud of herself because she went on a roller coaster at Legoland. Hannah wants to be a roller coaster rider so bad, but it scares her very much. I keep telling her that in time it might not be so bad for her, and she may enjoy it one day.
Paige discovered this month that she is a thrill seeker. She loves rollercoaster rides and water slides! It's so much fun to watch her be brave and take a chance on these rides. She used to think she was scared because Hannah is so scared but now she'll ride nearly anything, especially at Wet n' Wild.
Paige has decided that Aria Walker is her "BFF" and all her kindergarten artwork is reflecting that decision. We love Aria too, so I'm glad she has such good friends.
Sam couldn't be more excited for his birthday if he tried. It's all he talks about. He is going to have a Star Wars Lego party and he keeps pointing out all the cool things he wants. I can't believe my boy is going to be three. Sam was very appreciative after our trip and kept asking "do you bemember when we went to Legoland? What was your favorite part?"
Jonathan continues to be our sweetest, most chill baby...unless we're camping, then he's up throwing a fit in the middle of the night. He didn't make it through his first camp out, I had to take him home in the middle of it. He's also a mild terror in church. He knows there are toys somewhere in the building and he just wants to escape to find those toys. Nevertheless, we are so in love with him he can practically do no wrong.
